Our Top Tips for Quality Performance with Quality Care

Performance

It is always best practise to guide the hose back into the hose reel and never allow your hose to drag along the floor, this will be classed as misuse.

Retracting

In the event the hose does become tangled, the reel will not retract. You must slowly pull out the hose from the reel past the tangled section and then allow the hose to slowly retract whilst guiding the hose. Always ensure the hose is clean and not twisted.

Stopper adjustment

Always make sure the hose reel is in the locked position before readjusting the hose stopper position (up or down the hose), likewise, once in the desired position make sure the hose stopper is securely fastened before pulling the hose.

Tension adjustment

If you need to adjust the tension; Only adjust the spring tension when the hose is fully rewound inside the reel case but make sure you do Not to Over-Tighten.

Winter care:

During the winter months when the water hose is least likely to be used, remove any residual water from the hose by fully extending the hose from the reel. Make sure the mains tap is disconnected then release the hose from the lock position and retract the hose back whilst holding the trigger gun down.

Once the reel is compacted, you can then remove from the bracket and store within the garage or shed.

Don't Forget: The outside mains tap should also be wrapped up and covered during the cold wintery months.

Important: Whilst the hose has been tested under cold environments (as seen from the video demonstration), freezing weather condition will create leaks. Therefore, it's important to maintain good winter care practice.
